Piazza Umberto I, often simply called the Piazzetta or chiazza by locals, is a square located in the municipality of Capri. Situated on the edge of Capri’s historic center, it once hosted the island’s old local market. Today, it is the heart of the island’s social life and is often described as the “living room of the world,” frequently compared to famous squares such as Rossio in Lisbon or Piazza San Marco in Venice.
